Responsibilities

As the Manager of Business Development, your team is a vital part of the growth engine of SmartAction. You'll be responsible for building, managing and motivating a team of highly driven and enthusiastic Business Development Representatives. In this role you’ll partner with SmartAction’s sales and marketing leadership to build a winning strategy, set goals, and measure performance against weekly, monthly, and quarterly objectives.

  • Ongoing hiring, mentoring, and development of BDRs which includes recruiting, hiring, and training new members
  • Develop the skills of each team member based on performance data
  • Motivate team members through creative incentives and daily interactions
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on volume statistics, lead pipeline, conversation of sales accepted opportunities and playbook performance
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity. Be ready to implement and execute improvements discovered
  • Partner with sales leadership, marketing, and other business partners to develop a successful strategy
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable, and predictable process for running and growing the team
  • Collaborate with teammates to determine best practices and unique approaches to finding new opportunities. Expected to be active in the community of business development
  • Consistently achieve SQL quota

Qualifications/Required Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 3+ years of enterprise business development experience required with demonstrated success
  • Prior experience communicating and interacting with senior-level executives
  • Experienced in hiring and working in a rapidly growing environment
  • Experience managing outside recruiting firms
  • High levels of self-motivation, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
