SmartAction exists to advance the AI movement, bridging the gap between what is, and what can be. We are a fully remote company of ~70 people that provides AI-powered virtual agents as a service to more than 100 leading brands across 12 industries. We are headquartered in Dallas/Fort-Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a contract employee to join us as a Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Engineering & QA team and help us grow. The Jr. QA Analyst role is responsible for monitoring the overall health and performance of existing client applications as well as evaluating the overall quality of newly developed applications.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • The Jr. QA Analyst will be dedicated to testing new features and releases before they are made available to production teams
  • Test tickets against design documentation, scope, and regression testing
  • Ad-Hoc and context change daily as priorities shift in a fast-paced environment
  • Update documentation and testing practices as new applications reach the team
  • Assist with release notes, knowledge transfer, documentation, and analytics
  • Assess opportunities to improve the user experience within voice and chat-based systems
  • Assess whether new versions will require changes to legacy designs and involve the appropriate people for knowledge transfer
  • Jr. QA Analyst will be testing items in a fast-paced Sprint/Kanban model in both Agile and Waterfall work environments utilizing JIRA and other internal tools

Qualifications/Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proactive approach to all facets of work
  • Self-driven desire to learn from other QA and software development team members
  • High emphasis for attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills that allow for testing software, identifying bugs, and solving errors
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strict time management skills
  • Ability to work within the United States without work visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in QA field
  • Experience with JIRA or comparable ticketing system
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the executive and the company to outside parties
