Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Business Development Representative, you are a vital part of the growth engine of the business. In many cases, you are the first human touchpoint for prospective clients and SmartAction. You will be tasked with reaching out to Enterprise businesses for the purpose of introducing SmartAction’s products and services and discussing the problems we solve - then setting up an appointment to hold a discovery call with a walk-through of the SmartAction platform.

  • Gain a strong understanding of both industry and product knowledge; you will be the expert in this field.
  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop targeted accounts in an outbound method.
  • Tenaciously utilize phone, email, social media, and other methods to key prospects found during prospecting efforts and create enough value to have them agree to a discovery conversation and/or platform walk-through with an AE.
  • Nurture your pipeline of prospects that are too early in the process and be organized in your efforts to be ready to engage when a buying cycle begins.
  • Effectively communicate the value and benefits of SmartAction to prospects.
  • Research companies, identify key decision-makers, and develop leads.
  • Effectively and efficiently update prospect interaction in CRM.
  • Collaborate with teammates to determine best practices and unique approaches to finding new opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve SQL quota to ensure revenue objectives.

Qualifications/Required Experience

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 2+ years of Enterprise business development experience required with demonstrated success
  • Prior experience communicating and interacting with senior-level executives and C-Suite
  • Excellent phone, listening, writing, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized; strong time management skills
  • Proficient with email, voicemail, G-Suite
  • Cold calling experience a plus
  • CRM and prospecting experience required
  • Positive attitude and open to learning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
